USS Bonhomme Richard class (Pike's Enterprise)

The first major refit of the Constitution class of heavy cruiser, this class was built to fight in the 4-years war against the Klingon D7 type battlecruisers. Therefore the weapons of this class of Constitution has twelve phaser banks on the saucer instead of just six (six banks of two instead of just three). This class also did away with the spatial torpedoes in favor of larger photon torpedo launcher bays that hold more photo-torps and can fire faster than the original class. The Bonhomme Richard class was the class of ship that Captain Pike commanded during and after the 4-years war. This class was built in large numbers to fight the Klingon Empire.
